When you think about 80s movies about fighter pilots, Top Gun instantly comes to mind of most folks. But a few months before Top Gun was released, there was Iron Eagle, a movie about Air Force brats teaming up to rescue one of their dads. The dad, a fighter pilot, was shot down and captured in the middle east and is scheduled to be executed for his crimes. Now Doug Masters, played by Jason Gedrick, must convince Louis Gossett Jr.’s character Chappy to help him on an improbable rescue mission. Chappy fills the Mr. Miyagi role to Doug’s Daniel-san.

The movie treats us to a fun montage showing members of the Eagles Flying Club surreptitiously getting all the intel and supplies Doug and Chappy will need for a rescue mission. It’s in this montage when we meet all the members of the club. And it’s at this point that you’re probably thinking, how can I get myself a sweet Iron Eagle t-shirt with the Eagles Flying Club logo on it?

We did our best to take screen shots and get a good look at the patch, but there were some spots that we just had to guess. Our artist had to use some creative license to finish this design, but it’s as screen accurate as we could make it.
